West Tennessee Woodturners
Aug. 13, 2016
Bill Wyche presided over the meeting.
The International Food Festival will be here before you know it.
Volunteers are needed to man the booth. If enough volunteers come forth it makes it easier for all involved and shifts will be shorter. Please consider manning the booth for an hour or two. Don’t be shy!!! If you can spare these items for Oct. 1, please let Bill know ASAP.
Tents to provide shade
Box fans (if weather proves to be hot)

Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital is the charity we’ve chosen to help. For the booth we will NEED items to sell. Please put a suggested price on items you donate. Spinning tops will be given out for cash donations. Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital (Joan Taylor) said they will provide stickers, banners and cash collection jars. A few items for donation are listed below:
Christmas Ornaments, Pens, Bowls, Lidded Boxes, Rolling Pins, Candlesticks, Platters, wine bottle stoppers or just bottle stoppers, children’s tops, etc.
Whatever you’d like to donate, it will be gladly accepted towards a great cause. We have several donations thus far but more are needed to make the impact great for the West TN Woodturners!
At our October meeting at Chuck & Glenda’s house, it was mentioned to have items donated for the members to purchase. The funds would help build our club treasury funds. Cakes/Pies will also be for sale! It doesn’t have to be turned pieces. Wood, tools, etc. will be for sale.
Bill is to check September’s meeting demo guest: Mr. Paul Crabtree. He will demo hollowing systems.
If you’ve not paid your dues---You’re late!
The CO: If you are willing to teach how to turn on a lathe Tuesday from 5-9 p.m. let Bill know.
