Meeting Minutes

January 14, 2017

Demonstrators needed to fill in the 2017 calendar year.

We have so much talent in this club, so much so, we’d love to hear from you! Feb. 11,

Kirk Smith has volunteered to show us his techniques with resins. Other folks who will be volunteering are Skip from the Memphis club and our very own Bob Hobbs.

The demonstrator this day was Jim Atkins. He turned a pepper mill using the lathe armed with forsner bits and black milk paint.

Mark Sillay will be available to teach small groups of folks at Chuck’s shop. Classes will contain four/five participants to ensure Mark is able to give the attention required. If needed classes will be spread over two days: Thursday, April 6 & Friday, April 7. Saturday, April 8, Mark will be demoing a project during our monthly club meeting. The cost for each participant is $50. Let Bill know as soon as you can schedule it… I know most of us know a lot about turning……but we can always learn something that will make our turning even better!
